Rereading Jon 1, ADWD is much more entertaining when you imagine Stannis is talking in all caps.

Stannis: “SNOW. JUST WHO DO YOU IMAGINE YOU ARE“

Jon: “The watcher on the wall, sword in the darkness, etc etc.”              

Stannis: “DON’T PRATE YOUR WORDS AT ME *draws comically large glowing sword* HERE IS YOUR SWORD IN THE DARKNESS“                                  

Jon: “Sire, I agree these castles (which you asked me for a thousand times but ok) must be garrisoned- “                                                                        

Stannis: “THE BOY COMMANDER AGREES. HOW FORTUNATE.”                    

Jon: “-by the night’s watch”              

Stannis:                                                               

It takes very little to amuse me.
