Claudette Colbert and Carole Lombard on the set of It Happened One Night (1934)
Actually, this was taken backstage at the Actor’s Fund Benefit in January, 1937. Gable and Colbert reprised their roles in a live re-enactment of the hitchhiking scene. Lombard was backstage with the cast because by that time, she and Gable had been dating for over a year.
